2016 FR-S vs 2014 WRX Hatchback
Quote:
They are different type of cars, if you have to choose between the 2 WRX is always gonna come up top, cuz it's better on paper everywhere. Plus Hatch back is just so much better since US don't get the hatch back version of Subaru performer anymore till they can get Levorg over here. Let me be straight, if you have to ask between the two. You should pick WRX, cuz you are actually not the target audience of this kind of vehicles. It's like asking ppl if you should buy s2k or WRX. If you think those 2 are the same, I don't know why you would pick import over domestic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hmm if you are in to power games & versatility WRX is much stronger. Despite what ppl tells you about the twins, it's a feel car on top of everything else so please take that into consideration. If you live in Asia or Europe, you can just buy Levorg & be done with it. Sadly we live on American continent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A car that feels better than it performs on paper.
Generally when you drive it, it feels like a proper fit. It stirs some kind of emotion.... etc etc. |

Also, having had my BRZ for a couple months I can say it is a very fun car to drive and puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. That being said, practicality wise for me being 16 it works perfect. I don't need much room and I get pretty good gas mileage. I think I would enjoy getting to own the 2-door sports car and modifying it now. Before you have a family and reasons not spend all your money on your car.

If you want to Turbo this car, make sure you know what your getting yourself into. It's not that easy. You can't just slap a Turbo and expect this car to last and be reliable.
You will have to do a lot of modifications to make it a reliable Turbo car. If you have the budget for this, then sure, go for it! The FRS is much more fun to drive in my opinion when comparing to my 02 wrx (stage 2) The 14 wrx is way too "soft" and I don't enjoy that generation of Subaru's and wouldn't compare the 2 even though many do. An example, (I'm using CDN dollars) you are okay with spending 100% of your budget. WRX is $35,000..you buy it, done. Solid car, enjoy it. FRS is $25,000..you buy it, with the $10,000 remaining you can make an amazing turbo FRS that will be reliable, fast and way more hardcore and driver focused than a stock wrx. However, you might just enjoy the FRS in NA, where then in that can use your money for other interests in life. Another thing, since your young, you do have the opportunity to enjoy a 2 door sports car. You could buy it now, mod it slowly and keep it for a good 15+ years and always have a toy in the garage to have on weekends when your not driving a normal sedan. Like the WRX, buy it when you have a family lol
