It's very easy with jack stands, essentially if you've installed headlights before on this car, a cold air intake etc. This may be the most invasive thing you do takes a good 1-2 hours with a friend and some pb blaster

Haha, I more-so meant as a reference for torque specs and socket sizes.

All in all install went pretty well. Three minor injuries from my own stupidity, or carelessness. Ran into a gasket issue (missing one) so I reused one. Will have to seen if a leak develops as it seems okay now.

Hard to tell what it would sound like with just the header as I installed the Corsa Catback at the same time; but I am extremely happy with the short spirited drive I did this morning.

Initial feel says torque dip improved drastically. And boxer rumble is 100% present!

Plan to dyno/tune in the near future. Just weighing options between ecutek and oft. And which options either way I go.

Nice! If staying with bolt ons and no e85 is present/will be used, I'd go with OFT. If planning on doing e85 and other stuff, Ecutek.
Both work well, but for me the flex fuel option for Ecutek is fantastic. OFT did e85 just fine for me, but its nice to not have to worry about E%.

I will try to get a sound clip but I live on the NC coast and we have some pretty terrible winds right now so everything would be drowned out.

Cold start with the Corsa and Gruppe-S is LOUD. Annoyingly so. But I also thought the stock start up sounded "annoying." Once it's past the initial 30 seconds it's a little louder than stock but with a little more grumble.. WOT is awesome! Perfect boxer rumble with aggressive tones that burble off perfectly.. Downshifting has a nice throaty brrrap. Cruising speed no drone what so ever.

The Corsa compliments the Gruppe-S like no other. Which I pleased with, because I've heard some people with the Corsa say they didn't like it once they went UEL.

I'm staying for bolt ons for the near future. However, Planning a long term Supercharged build. Though, that's a good year or so down the road.

I would LOVE to tune e-85 but I do some lite Auto-x and it's not allowed (unless somethings changed this year) and the closest station is 40 minutes opposite way I drive.

So maybe I'll just do OFT. Just Still don't know if I trust it completely. I know, I know, plenty of people are running it, and its stable. I'm just not 100% ready to jump at it.

OFT is great, and I highly recommend it. I ran mine for years with no issues, and only switched because of my supercharged setup. With the OFT, you can pick one up(check my sig) and sell it later down the road when you go supercharged-and make 80% of your money back. In the mean time, you'll enjoy more power, better mpg and a smoother running engine. Theres no reason not to trust it!

If the nearest station is 40mins away, I wouldn't bother with it then.

Installed my Gruppe-S header and oil pan heat shield today. What a great product for the price! Still running the stock over pipe and front pipe with TRD exhaust. Sound's great with no drone at highway speeds. Wouldn't want it any louder than it is now. Pretty much perfect for a daily driver.

I can no longer feel the torque dip at all but to be honest I did not feel much of an increase in power. I've been running the OFT E85 tune for a few weeks now and going from 91 to E85 the power was night and day. I didn't expect the same feeling from the header so not a big deal.

In the end for me the header was worth the cost just for the sound alone.

I am getting a hissing sound on throttle but I am certain there are no leaks so I'm guessing it's the sound others have noted in this thread. I'll go through and check all the hardware in a few weeks just to be double sure.

Now for that 4.87!

I don't know where to post this but I finally hopped on the heart breaker Dyno Dynamics.

Gruppe-S UEL Headers
Gruppe-S Overpipe
JDL Ultra quiet front pipe
Invidia N1 Catback
KNN Drop in Air filter
93 Pump Gas
Delicious Tuning Stage 2 NA

188whp
~150wtq

He said I'd make 200whp on Dynojet idk if he was trying to make me feel better LOL but yeah that's what the numbers I got. I think the pull was on 5th gear for that 1 ratio.

UPDATE: So I was browsing the internet and was Google'd up the difference between DynoDynamics vs Dynojet. And I've seen people say 12-16% difference that DynoDynamics read lower.
So I took the lowest percentage 12% of 188 which is 22.56 and added that to 188 and did the same for Wtq.
12% of 188WHP = 22.56
12% of 150WTQ = 18
22.56 + 188 = 210.56 Whp DynoJet
18 + 150 = 168Wtq Dynojet
So yeah there we go, although I'll never know the real numbers on a dynojet because I don't know of any dynojets in my area. But the fact knowing that I am AT LEAST 200whp makes me feel a little better lol

Wow, look at that torque curve! Makes me feel good that I must be close to 200whp running a similar setup on E85.

Thank you for posting!

Thanks man lol if I could do it again I wouldn't buy that JDL front pipe with the cat in it I think I could have squeezed out a little more power out of an NA setup. Ill going E85 NA real soon so I'll be back on the dyno to see how much of a difference.

That's a great looking torque curve. You're basically making 90% of peak torque from 2800-6800 RPM. Must feel nice to drive.

Thanks, since we're on this topic what gear is typically used for dyno pulls? I thought it was a little weird that he used 5th gear for 3 dyno pulls?

If you look at drift office's dyno for Edelbrock SC they used 3rd and 4th gear.

It's usually 4th on these cars since that's the 1:1 gear.
