depending on your weather, I would suggest an extreme performance summer tire with a smaller width, like 235 or 225. I personally think that the PSS are extremely overpriced for what they are.

my MR2 made 280whp and was on 225/45/15 AD08's on a 15x8 wheel. it would not lose traction in a straight line unless it was launched with properly warmed up tires and even then it would be only for a small portion of 1st gear. in the corners though... was a different thing.

Hell, most people here run 255/265 on NA power and can still spin them if they wanted to

All this is crap, how do you drive and how do you want to drive?

Spent all day Saturday sliding around on 245 RE71R's with stock power, once you get used to a grip level you can make just about any tire your bitch with enough effort. You can safely commute to work on 195 all-seasons with 500 whp, and you could be complaining about not getting enough grip out of your 305 slicks on a 130 whp car.

There's no reason to not keep driving on the tires you have or trying 225 on the OE wheels and decide from there. Buying once is always cheaper than buying twice.

Considering I can slide 225s all day w/ my stock engine, the "control" aspect of your question will ultimately depend on how good you are as a driver and what traction are you looking for (straight line, cornering, etc)
