I live in sauga too and I had this conversation with my insurance provider when I first moved here.

They mainly group us by postal code area since it's the same across the province. It's dependent on a lot of factors, but things like income levels, crime rates and number of claims in that in one postal code area with drive up the premiums for that group of people.

My personal example is when I lived in the Queensway/hwy10 area I paid $224/Mo. Right after I moved to Burnham/hwy10 I called to only change my address and my prem went down to $211/Mo. Not much, but it shows something at least.

Stupid accident happened right before I got my BRZ. My quote jumped by up almost 100 at the time (Last year my insurance was like 280/mo). Fortunately it dropped by 50 dollars this year when I renewed so it's not as bad....but I originally got quoted around 170-190 for the car with group discounts.
