Came across this rendering, kinda z4-esque. Curious to see how it turns out.

Nice rendering. Adding a fastback definitely improves the NDs looks, but I doubt it would end up a fastback. Cheaper for Mazda to make a hardtop, keep the trunk structure the same and add $2-$k to the price.

My inner mazda fanboi would do backflips for that render. I love the fastback.

I would consider trading my frs for a fixed top miata. That will never happen though...

Yeah definitely see some Z4 and even 911 in there. Nice looking render. Now we'll see if Mazda is bold enough to make a coupe version of the Miata. No PRHT version pls.

Now that you mentioned it, that render does look like they slapped a shortened 911 roof on the mx-5

Like everyone else, i'd love to see them make a fastback version. But given that the wording of their teaser was "blow the lid off", I'm guessing we'll probably see a PRHT version. I'm still hoping against hope we'll see a fastback coupe for the next rotary if it ever makes it to production.

I wish it was a coupe, but it's just going to be a PRHT. If Mazda was going to make a real coupe they would have done it by now.

I'd would be plesantly surprised if the two concepts of the Spyder and the other concept I forgot what is was called was to guage public interest, and it spawned a variant of one of those concept. I wouldn't mind that Spyder. Still a Power Hard Top is probably the way to go since it makes so much money for the brand
