Ah ok. When you do head down there might be worth asking them to cut down on their dealer delivery price- usually their source of profit and they would be happy to cut down on it if they're desperate enough- up to you. Still a good price

its $33748** depends on state I guess. Thats Full RRP would have room to move if demand was not so high

I will also be in the hunt for a white GT. Just waiting for BRZ to come out and see how that will affect Toyota or what Subaru price there's at

You will be waiting a while then, seeing how 1) they are only bringing in 200 BRZs and 2) they have been pre-ordered already. Its a numbered limited edition (same spec as the GTS though). The Subaru dealer I spoke to said "mid 40s" and required a hefty deposit, and ~2 years before they consider bringing any more in. I'd be surprised if he wasn't too far off on his price guesstimate just because they have already gotten ~200 people to sign up at that price.

^^ spot on.

On another note, are there anymore melbournians here who would be willing enough to give me a rough low down on which dealerships to avoid and which to you'd recommend when it comes to driveaway prices?

Any info would be kewl

Was just really friendly with the guy, had a good chat and then when we got to talking money I told him 41k is my max price

It's not that much of a saving really, but a few extra hundred towards tinting and a restyle of plates is always good

Yeah it's not a bad deal! I'm pretty happy now. I just hope the dealer doesn't try any funny business.. or tempt me into buying some trd parts if they're available by then :P

Nah, no pearlescent. That's probably what shaved a fair bit off the price.

$42,485.... Pearl white GTS, Manual, Aero kit.... That includes stamp duty, licensing and all the other stuff... Does not include window tint....

He tried to bullshit me that it doesnt come with floor mats either, i said mate the floor mats are not optional, there standard... He said 'ow, maybe they have the GTS logo or something'.... Anyway this was over the phone... Arrives in september if i put down payment on tomorrow which is $1000.....

Whats everyones opinion on this price and arrival time and is there anything i should be aware of before signing???. My first brand new purchase........

Not sure what the aero kit is exactly so can't say if it's worth the extra $2.5k.

As for the contract - make sure you put conditions such as 'subject to test drive' and anything else you can think of that will allow you to pull out of the contract if need be. Also make sure he puts the ETA as the first day of the month in which you expect to get your car. If you don't get it after 30 days of the ETA then the contract is no longer valid and you can get your deposit back.

$1000 deposit is standard.

i believe driveaway price for manual GTS starts from the low $39k. not sure if white is extra so you are around $3k for the areo kit. not sure if this is right tho.

if they say it arrives in Sept, make sure they put it on the contract. if you haven't test drive the car, put this on the contract as a condition as well. are you going to get finance? get it on the contract as well....
