Resonated Front Pipe
Hi All,
Currently running Invidia N1, Borla UEL Headers. If I add a catless, resonated front pipe, what should i expect? Looking at either the Invidia or the HKS which appears to have dual resonators. Should i get a decrease in drone or is it just going to get louder and more unbearable? |

It might not make much of a decrease in sound. It's still going to be loud as hell. I just put in a catless Invidia front pipe in my car with an N1 system. Its really loud and I still have the stock header. I have more drone but it doesn't bother me.

It going to get considerably louder and possibly raspy if you swap out the stock front pipe with an N1 catback, maybe see if you can swap it for a Q300 catback |

I don't know why people think the N1 is loud. I have a unresonated Invidia FP and a N1 catback and I think its still not loud enough. Maybe I'm just used to running straight pipe catbacks for almost 10 years, I guess.

It's mostly that it's so loud in the cabin, not necessarily outside. I'm investing in sound deadening setup but still won't really be enough without spending a fortune. Did you do your exhaust all at once? I'm hoping an addition of a resonated FP will deepen and smooth out the tone of the exhaust. I don't expect much of a change to the loudness unless i change the catback.

I had the back seat down one day and it was much louder inside the cabin and I enjoyed the exhaust a lot more. |
