ACE 4-2-1 Header open source tuning thread

I no longer recommend dealing with these people any more. Seems like every unit sent to Australia is a prototype, each with a different fitment issue or another. As such this thread is orphaned, please do not reply.

Don't forget you can use the latest vgi tool for AVCS tuning, might be worth giving that a go to test any changes

@Wayno have you tried playing with Virtual Dyno? I think it would help between visits to the actual dyno. Thats if you have access to a suitable place to do the logs.

Thanks very much. I just got my header on today and hope to spend some time working on the tune. I appreciate the difficulty without a dyno.

I start to think that due interest in opensourced Ace+good OFT tune it would be worth for several potential owners to gather some money for you to compensate for more of your time & dyno runs to result in even more capable tune closer to that of Delicious'. It will be way cheaper investment then going Ecutek anyway, especially because expenses will be shared .. no clue how such fund rising should be organized though.
P.S.
Which overpipe type your header has?

Hating a bit of having to choose. Somewhat hoped for OFT tune to reach at least 90% of delicious tune gains and go with that. Without (most of) potential gains with accompanied tune this header will turn just yet another EL header, except costing more. One can pay more to get best. If not, paying extra is much harder to justify. So it sounds like choice between Ace+Ecutek or "normal" header of 1/3-1/2 the price+OFT, not both in one package with almost full gains, unless someone of Delicious level willingly steps in and shares his work. And if money is involved .. more probable then not for that to never happen . Hmm, unless someone with Ace+OFT dyno tunes with Shiv? :/

Or just a dyno and does it themselves....

The issue is that the OFT flashing will make it a long process, so costly. All you need to Do is focus on AVCS on the dyno though.

The oft flash time has improved to about 3 minutes

But tactrix will do it in under 90 sec

Someone did this with Shiv during a dyno day in Texas. The result was Shiv used the Stg2 EL tune and dialed in ignition timing, but unfortunately he didn't make any AVCS changes, likely due to time. The result was a flat torque curve instead of the usual curve you'd expect from the 350.
