I can attest to this. In my first 13k miles, being 100% stock, the tires (originals from purchase) hardly wore down at all. In the past few hundred miles of testing various tunes with Edelbrock I've nearly depleted the rear tread! When the car is running at full power (mine isn't consistent at this point unfortunately) it will spin 1st very easily and 2nd too if you drop the clutch a bit shifting from 1st. It's no different from tracking a NA car. You'll be okay for a few track days, but if you do more than that, you really should be getting an oil cooler.

If you absolutely MUST have one asap, we've verified the Perrin cooler fits with a slightly modified mounting location (easy to DIY if you're installing yourself).

They're in stock and ready to ship.

No money for it right now, but thanks for the reassurance. I will ensure that when funds become available down the road it's top of my list.

I thought Perrin fits with no modification?

Any idea how much the Perrin setup weighs? It's listed as 20lbs but I'm guessing that's boxed shipping weight. Just wondering what else has to be removed from the car to compensate.

You will not notice the weight difference for these reasons:

1. Your ECU pulls timing when your oil temperature increases and you effectively lose power.

2. The engine power output will be more consistent with an oil cooler.

3. You will be happier knowing that you won't kaboom your engine due to negligence.

Side note, your wallet will feel marginally lighter rather than exceptionally lighter (oil cooler vs. fresh motor).

You can cut weight elsewhere such as dry carbon panels, full strip of the interior and rollcage it with dry carbon seats.

Nah, keeping this one with full amenities. Maybe a Beatrush bumper replacement or TIG up my own aluminum version to offset the weight.

Pushing it a little more forward is recommended, to give a buffer between the cooler core and the LTR.
