This is Go reporting in. Only 1 speeding ticket for going 160 in my moms car about 2 years ago when I borrowed it. Nothing in 3 years of racing around in the FRS although I have been pulled over a number of times for everything from being too loud to dirty licence plate cover.

Whatever mod you were wishing you could afford, you could've... the average speeding ticket in Utah is 90$ per (for reference). so 50 x 90 = $4,500 I'm sure you could've spent your thousands better than handing it to your county :/ I got one speeding ticket for 110+ in a 55mph construction zone. got away w/ a 10mph over ticket (yes it cost 90$) Edit: lol, just noticed I already mentioned this ticket on this thread over a year ago. Repeat story. Last edited by Celica00; 02-29-2016 at 10:17 PM. |

Cop: you gonna do this again? Me: .... of course not officer. Cop: ok, lowered it to 10 over in that case. Got very, very lucky. especially because I saw him catch me going 75 mph on the on-ramp and started to pursue me for that, so I decided to bob and weave through the freeway and gun it during an opening in traffic. My FRS had no chance vs his charger once he hit that opening too. |

I think cops get a bad wrap when most of them are actually decent people that dont really want to give you huge tickets. Next question is how the hell does the guy with 50 tickets get insured? |

What car were you driving that could go 160mph for 3 hours straight? I'm intrigued. Also, I think there are programs for high risk insurance people but idk. |

I got a fix it ticket today for the 20% tint on my front windows and for having a license plate plastic cover; even though it is clear, it is a violation. At least they are fix it tickets. He asks why I have them covered like maybe he thought they are there to block traffic cameras for red lights, but I said to protect them from rocks, bugs and vandals, which is the real reason; they wouldn't block the flash or camera anyway.
I thought I would have a physician at the hospital I work at sign something saying I have a medical condition, but apparently that wouldn't matter for tint. It would let me mount a removable transparent shade, but it would have to be removed at night, so scratch that idea. So I may end up just putting transparent UV tint which is legal, but I read that the windows are already UV protected. In the standard equipment for our cars it says green tinted and uv blocking windows. Can anyone confirm this? I noticed the driver's and passenger's windows do look a little darker. |

So I found two pdfs. Looks like my car does not have UV green glass. I don't know if this was just a 2016 addition, or if it happened sooner, but I am curious if this blocks 99% uv like tint does or if it is just partially blocks uv.
I'll likely repost in the tint section. |
