Traffic Tickets Anyone?

What's up Guys/Girls. I don't condone speeding, keep it on the track i say but has anyone on the forum gotten a ticket yet or had a run in with the police?

I've had my Firestorm FR-S 2 days now and i got pulled over this morning for not using my turn signal. Absolutely zero traffic on a 4 lane road but a cop got me for not putting my blinker. He gave me a warning since i wasn't speeding but he admitted his actual reason was to look at the car. Cool cop i guess but the FireStorm Red might be a cop magnet ^_^

That sucks man, but cool you got off! It may have had more to do with the fact that there was no one else on the road, so all eyes were on you. BTW, I haven't had any trouble so far, but I have noticed on some occasions extra cop attention.

Hmm i was actually interested in this and my real debate is still between the Firestorm vs Whiteout for this reason. Is firestorm a cop magnet/hater magnet?

No tickets yet /knocks on wood. I have had three cops over the 3 months I've had my car suddenly appear in my rear view mirror and follow me for a bit. LOL I probably deserve a few tickets, but that is always a surprise to see them appear like that.

Interesting! Well i think the Firestorm color is an attention grabber for sure. I traded in my Toyota SR5 4x4 4Runner for my new FR-S. In the 4Runner i was just another car in the crowd never really got any looks or anything special. But so far i've had the FR-S 2 days now and i got a thumbs up, and seems like sitting in traffic i'm getting tons of looks and people snapping cell phone pics. I feel like a celeb lol. My run in with the cop was cool, just hope its not a cop magnet.

It's not a cop magnet if you don't break the law

No tickets but I did get pulled over twice in the first week with my Firestorm FR-S..

First was after I had just taken a beautiful S turn at speeds most cars would have only accelerated back to AFTER the final apex. I had dealer plates on still which I assume is why he didn't bother getting out of his car to hassle me. Just pulled up along side me and shouted asking if I'd like to slow down or hurt someone. I truly wasn't speeding but I may have grazed the yellow line at one point.

Second time was not long after. I was heading home after dropping someone off at 1am. I took an extremely indirect route home because I wanted to get the break in over and done with. Ended up heading north along a route that is well known for police activity because it is also well known for street racing activity. The direct route home would have been south.

I was driving the posted limit with a group of 5 or so other cars. Every day mundane cars. We crested a hill and saw a sea of flashing lights. They funnelled us into on lane and start waving people by as they got a look. They pulled me through their cones to park and have a chat and me alone. It was a DUI checkpoint. I wasn't impaired but I had had a couple drinks about an hour or two before so I was concerned about exactly how much attention they would pay me. When they realized I had dealer plates they let me on my way after checking me out in their computer.

Midnight, coming home from motley crue kiss concert. No one else on the road. 2 state troopers had someone pulled over to side of road. I moved to the left side of the right lane without leaving the right lane. Cop pulls me over n said i should have changed lanes. Not making that mistake again lol

Ohh no way, that sounds so lame. Did you get a warning or a ticket? My neighbor is a cop he's a cool guy but he told me in that my particular county is hurting for money so they have ben instructed to up their citations to rake in dough.

I have a Firestorm Red FR-S. Cops here are happy to pull anyone over for anything. I have yet to receive a ticket, because one, I obey the speed limit, and two, I don't drive like a jerk.

Definitely a cop magnet. Thanks for taking the attention away from us non-firestorm owners

No ticky's yet, but I had a trooper parked at the side of the interstate with is gun on literally swing around and keep it aimed at me as I passed him. I'd spotted him well ahead of time and was under 70 (65 zone) before I got near him, but I guess the car just looks fast and he couldn't believe what the gun was telling him.
