Make a thread! I bought my RB V3 rep wing through them and it fit great. The paint color was slightly off but Angela is helping me try to get a better painted one. Their customer service is amazing. Looking forward to pictures and updates!

For sure!!! Yeah I wasn't going to trust the pre painted parts as a tri coat can kind of be hard to match.

Haha you know how much this forum loves rocket bunny frs's :p. I wasn't sure if I was going to make a thread but I think I will. Once the cars done I think I will but i'll send you some pics as the process continues this next week.

I have one pic from today i'll upload for ya!

Yeah when it comes to Ikons quality of replicas Im pretty convinced it doesn't get much better. The front fender flare fit on like an original. Very happy ! And also surprising to me.... The rear diffuser came with the two break lights and reverse lights pre installed in the diffuser... I thought for sure they would of left that out being a replica... But nope they had them too.

Honestly, you might get some hate for buying a replica kit as a person did before on here, but show them how well it fits and how much you paid and shut them up lol. There was also another thread about how Greddy's parent company TRUST seems to over-charge cause they're Bankrupt, then again they spent money on RnD so yeah.. Excited to see progress!

Thats my whole goal lol.

I'm all about supporting the company when credit is due but... I'm also a huge believer in laissez-faire capitalism. And if a company can make and sell a product for less than 1/3'rd of what another company is selling the same thing for...AND still turn a profit, more power too them. That just shows you the absolute ridiculous margins that the original product is carrying.. And if a company is willing to produce it and slash the margins and sell the same thing for 1/3rd the cost.. Hey.. thats the cold hard market for you, and you have earned my business..

I know i'll get some flack for this but .. How many of us buy the cheap Chinese phone chargers at walgreens? Are they not replicas and the money not going to the parent company (using apple and lightning cables in this example).

You're a braver man that I. Fit looks pretty decent though. I have no qualms with knock-off parts really. Regardless of who put the R&D in, the people who would buy the legit parts still will, and the people who wouldn't will either not get them at all or buy the knock off. My only problem is when someone claims they have the real deal when it's actually fake.

Hey man for 900 shipped compared to 2800 shipped I figured it was well worth the gamble.. i'll take one for the team. I'll be writing a big review up of the kit once we get it all done.

Yeah i'm with you on that. No sense in pretending its authentic but it damn well (hopefully)will look the part when we are done. Its just a molded fender flare at the end of the day... can't be too hard to produce a quality replica.

It's really the only aspect we've skimped on. The Gt wing will be authentic because I think the quality of that piece needs to be up to par. Professional install and paint. Full sealing of the fender wells and reproducing fender lining. Pretty deep concave wheels from Japan. Will still need to run slight spacers. And a slight stretch on the Toyos T1. 255.35.18 rear and 245.35.18 front. 10 inch wide front and 10.5 rear (will probably have to trim frame to get no rub on full lock). No stance nation/hellagay here, will be low but functional.

The only thing I'll give you shit for, is form over function. That's pretty much my only problem with widebody kits. Which is funny, because less than a year ago, I was ready to throw an Aimgain kit on my car. Just decided keeping it simple and running autox was a better use of my money than slamming the bitch and being hella flush.

Glad it's working out for you (at least on one corner ). Will be looking out for the review/build thread and will be sure to give you some shit if it doesn't live up to my idea of form

Haha will be gladly accepting some comments in the shit department. This forum crucifies Rbv1's but a replica rbv1? I must be brave or naive to post a build thread .

I hear you on the autox thing. We'll see if i can achieve a nice middle ground with being able to beat on the car at the track without worrying about a flare flying off (shouldn't be too hard with all the many many already completed builds). Would of liked to of kept it stock but something about that circuit soul rocket bunny frs (Reggies) captivated me and i've been a bit obsessed ever since.

I will tell you this tho. We're going after Kei Miura's exact look and we have every part at the shop right now to emulate the look of his car. Yes we are using Rs05rr's. It pains me that i'm not being more original as I usually go against the grain of tradition and social norms to a fault just to be unique and different. But after all this time I just don't think there is a better looking v1 rb out there. So copying we are. Nothing fantastically new to show on the outside. There isn't a white rbv1 with rs05rr's from what i've seen if that counts for anything . But the interior is where its going to shine .

Loving this! Keep it up!
RS05RRs too?! I honestly love that original red RBV1 and own a whiteout myself so really look forward to the build you're doing!
