Gonna throw the age old and much disputed disclaimer into the ring though. Here the track pack 3.8 Genesis will cost you about $10K more than a FRS. You can do a lot of shit to a FRS with $10K!
I bought a new 2013 Genesis Track for 30k, sticker was 36k I believe. I was actually looking at the BRZ before I bought and I'm pretty sure the sticker was around 26-28k.(loved that Subaru blue color!!) Not sure what I could have negotiated it down to.
I really do like both cars, but I am happier with my interior. I'll have to post some pics with the cars side by side. The FRS makes my Genesis look Huge! Lol

Canadian prices eh! A VRS pushes $30K here. It was actually (As Cole pointed out) the GT I was looking at for $40K (here) anyway not the track.

Really, if I went to a more GTish car, there's no way I'd be getting the base model. Give me all the creature comforts please. But, that 38ishK is getting awful close to Mustang GT money...

I just hate the steering feel in the Genesis. Totally ruins it for me.

I would buy a Ugo for $40K before I ever even thought of a Mustang. Nothing wrong with them I just personally can't stand the bloody things.

Having a friend that has the 3.8 R-Spec and riding in the passenger seat, certainly makes me say I wish I had that power. However, I wouldn't dare to trade it for my Brz's brakes and steering.

The new Genesis looks sicker and even better if you take that ugly H and put the Genesis badge on it.

I will admit that a 3.8 Genesis with the right exhaust sounds down right sexy like the 350Z/370Z.

Yep. V6 Genesis is a better car than the twins. But eh, the twins are cheaper. Pretty much why I got one.

Now I agree if HP were the same then the FRS would definitely win as the handling is slightly better but I have driven both back to back and it's not by much.

I really do love how the FRS is lower/smaller, but for me being a little older, I have to kind of roll out of it, lol.

Yeah, but don't forget about the "Prius Tires". The Genesis did have the "sticky summer" tires...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. I can't stand the sound of V6s. That's why I bought the less powerful IS300 over the Infinity G35 coupe even though I would have rather had a coupe...

I see what you are trying to say, but upon closer examination, I would argue that both of these cars are on the same driveway based off the pattern of cracked pavement..

Yes. I too realized that after my post. However, I will maintain that the background may still be indicative of something. Perhaps the photographer is trying to cast twin owners in a "trashy" light. Symbolism does not pass by my eyes undetected, only my mind! Haha.

Oh. I though it was the Sun's vehicle. Some effervescent force manifested as man driving the earth penniless and prospectless. This back story, I reasoned, was derived from the waste strewn background. The garbage indicative of not only the car but the being which drove it. In hindsight, I think the Sun would probably drive a hot lava FRS. Perhaps Tcoat is indeed the manifested Sun. Perhaps it's not even the FRS but some Pontiac Solstice or Chrysler Spitfire or Honda Del Sol. But I read it wrong and looked at the picture wrong. It's just a Son's FRS and any humorous aside on the nature of pictorial observation should be brushed away like eraser shavings from an error prone Draftsman.
