Right, it's a surprisingly big trunk for the size and shape of the car.

Designed to hold a spare set of wheels, a tool box and your other track goodies. (really I did not make that up)

I will keep this thread in mind for when you post "My bowling ball rolled around in my trunk and now it won't unlock. What could be wrong?"
Impossible, I don't bowl and it'd be in a bag
But to put some button in your trunk where things might bump it is a pretty stupid idea

Don't disagree there but they did and it is in the manual. There have been at leas 10 guys on here that had something hit it (I believe on e was a can of peas) and they could not figure out what was wrong. Hell, there was a thread on it just last week.

Maybe ...... because ..... the place in the manual that discusses the inside trunk lock is in the same section that discusses where the exterior trunk key lock is .......

Congrats on the new car! I hope you enjoy the 2016. It has been a blast for me so far.

I am actually a valet driver btw. Will just give you a heads up I wouldnt valet this car. The feel and ground clearance is similar to porsches and they are likely to back it into a curb (at a location I work at we have to back up diagonally, and the back up cam isnt the best for this). The majority of cars are not low and usually glide above the curb. On top of that, every driver is going to want to take your car for a ride. I know I did whenever an 86 or brz came in (before I actually got one). As for the valet key and having stuff stolen, they dont usually hire thieves for the job, and without a remote key its only going to take extra long for the attendant to find the car (likely checking every scion/toyota in the lot) and thus extra time before the car gets to you. Toyota should have put a remote on the valet key if they are going to give one. Just my 2 cents.

Hahaha! I've never used my key to open up the trunk....the remote or button in the car is what I use.

My car's trunk has only had the key used on it twice!

First time was the day I got the car. Before purchase, my dad wanted to see how much space was back there. Trunk button was set to lock (I didn't notice this until I got home) so sales dude used the key.

2nd time was when I got home that day and playing around with the trunk button. Had to use the key again... then never played around with the trunk button again!

See you shouldn't tell him that way the day something slide in the button we get to laugh at his threads... Now you've ruined it for everyone... thanks a lot
