You can not apply the dollar exchange and say that is what it would cost in the US. Doesn't work that way. That is what it would cost in NZ if paying in US dollars.
Would still probably be at least a $35K car in the US (In USDs).

the main difference i see here is the uber expensive monoblock calipers on the nur-spec, as opposed to just pads on this one.

oh, and as others have stated, 2016年02月12日 in japanese where 年 is year, 月 is month and 日 is day.

I know @Tcoat, we've had this discussion before. But the OP I was responding too I don't think realised I was in NZ and assumed I was meaning US$40k.

Some things are cheaper here relatively and some things are more expensive relatively.

Actually with Toyota having the car it could open things up to a whole more options. Maybe not the 17s but after that they could offer some of the packages that other places around the world get (or not depending on how they go). They just won't be called Release Series anymore.

LOL I have had that same talk so many times I forget who I said it to!
As long as people don't think that they can get that for the same price. Since a bone stock FRS here is $27K they sure are not going to get those for the same price. It very well could be a $40K (US) car here.

On a slight side note regarding the kit itself, I'll share two pictures of mine that's got some other cosmetic changes alongside it; just to give any potential buyers on here a glimpse of how things can turn out.

Do note that I absolutely DID NOT dig it to begin with but I managed to haggle one down so far with only 7,500kms on the odometer that I had to pull the trigger and buy it.

A little bit of elbow grease later and the car has sort grown into it and I've come to embrace it. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea but at least it doesn't look so "tacked on" anymore at the very least.
