I wonder how many people got this by changing all of their badges to toyota when their registration says scion

Nah it doesn't matter what the badge says. You could do Ford for all the cops would normally care. As far as I know there are no laws anyplace that badges must match the car or even be badged at all (a quick search seems to support that) Now as soon as you try to say "ohhhh but it isn't a Toyota it is a Scion (or vice versa)" then they would care as it now becomes an attempt to deceive.

I honestly don't understand the re-badge thing. Are there that many people who care about what someone else thinks they drive? When the Toyota-badged whatever hit's the lot, you are going to pay at least an extra 3k for all those letters.

Someone needs to re-badge the Toyota as a Subaru for extra confusion points.

For what it's worth, my registration is listed as; make: Toyota, body/series: Scion, model: FR-S.
And I plan on changing my badges but not to Toyota or Subaru, and not because of shame or what anyone thinks of the badge it happens to be wearing, I'm not a fanboi. I'm changing it to something custom and for the same reasons any of us add aftermarket bodykits or interior trim or anything else that we want to show our individualism or express out personal identity through something we are passionate about.

The title on my 2015 FR-S says "Toyota FR-S". As for rebadging, I'm kind of OCD-ish, so I would have to swap the little logos on each wheel, the logo on the steering wheel, the logo on the Pioneer headunit (along with Scion screen that greets you everytime you turn it on), the FR-S badge on the trunk lid, the warranty booklets, the warranty booklet holder, etc, etc, etc.....and then wonder if I missed anything. I think I'll just keep it a Scion...

I got new personalized license plates and now my registration reads, Toyota. It used to say Scion. Go figure!
