This is why I'm not debadging mine and people thinking its a Porsche. Most people will think "Eh...Subaru BRZ? ...Funny shape for a wagon...looks nice though."

I had a cute girl in a WRX wave at me while I was waiting at a stop light to go to the mall. I should've followed her.

Wow let's get some perspective here. People are reacting to this car because it's good looking and new. The average price of a new car is ~30k. The brz is affordable and I seriously doubt people will think brz drivers are worth their spite. It's not like this car is a Ferrari, it's more of a hardtop miata.

Can add that I had a Z06 driver stop to take a look at my car today after I returned from lunch! That was unexpected but cool!

Got a wave from a WRX driver on the way home from LA today, and a thumbs up from a 2012 M3 driver when I was closer to home.

Heh welcome to owning a car people like.... you have no clue how many bros you'll attract if you drive a 08 STi (or any year for that matter). I can thank Ken Block for my generations popularity. Never been vandalized but I get ricers on my 6 often.

Ah yes.... the joys.

1. Driving on 495, look in mirror and see WRX gaining at an unbelievable rate. I move over (already doing a touch over the limit). He pulls up beside me, looks over and gives me a very enthusiastic thumbs up and mouths very cool!...then speeds off to his exit...too funny...made me feel good though
2. Again on 495...woman in WRX STI...huge wing, blacked out wheels. Nice looking and the car looked good too ...comes up to my rear bumper far too close...then goes over to the right to check it out, then in front to check it out. No thumbs up or anything but certainly made an effort to get a good look.
3. Pulled into restaurant last night...young guy in older Integra pulls into a spot near us. Gets out and starts admiring the car...asking a bunch of questions. We had a nice chat. We walk toward the restaurant only to realize that he pulled in JUST to see the car!...when we were inside I could see out...to the car...he gets out of his car with phone in hand and proceeds to take a bunch of pics...then takes off...we thought he was there to go to the restaurant!
4. Looking at aftermarket wheels...guy comes into the store..."hey is that your subie? Ya it is ...man that thing looks like a Masseratti!...very cool!"
5. And of course at work I've got a waiting list of rides promised and questions answered... especially from other subie owners

I've owned a number of cars but never had situations like this...it makes you feel good and a part of a very exclusive club..

Oh, the days of the STi. So many dudes just pining over the car. Now it starts all over again. Except this time even chicks think it's hot and not a ricer like the STi due to the hood scoop and spoiler lol.

Like everyone else been posting, getting a ton of love from Subaru drivers, which I think is pretty cool (kind of like when I'm on my bike, lots of respect in the motorcycle community). WRX's pulling up, honking, thumbs up, wave back, etc. Lots of looks at the gas station, I'm not one that really looks for attention so I felt uncomfortable at times with everyone staring like uhh is there something in my teef? lol

Also found this on my windshield yesterday after work. Freaked out when i first saw it since the initial reaction in LA is fuuuuhh another ticket! I was relieved it was something else lol.

Got some thumbs from a 2013 GC and a 3 series BMW on my home from work yesterday. Funny enough, I gave a WRX owner a wave this morning and he scowled out me.
