I read an article on MSN.com yesterday and it stated that the Scion models will just transfer to Toyota as what they are right now. Toyota FRS, Toyota iA, and so on.

Didn't help... It was in Fast and Furious 6 for about half a second. Still no dice.

I'm not even thinking of resale value. Planning on putting 200k+ on the car then selling for whatever itll be worth. I'm not a vehicle flip flopper.

I don't get what's so important about the name. Then again, I wanted to name my old Pearson sailboat "Sea Turd." It's a great boat, and in a lot better shape than when I bought it. I still like the name, especially as it sits net to the other boats w/ over-compensating, testosterone-wanna-be names in the marina like "WaveBasher," "Conquistador," and "Master of Time, Space, and Dimension."

FR-S, GT86, BFD69, Chevette, Gremlin, who cares. Is it a good car or not?

Love and kisses,

TwinkleFace

First 100% agree who cares what its called it drives the same. That is why we bought this car right?? The way it drives not the name? Just my thoughts

Second; dude if I had a boat I would name it unsinkable 3 so people who get on it would ask what happened to the other 2

Or maybe this is just sour grapes because you bought a Scion...

Lessee... my FR-S was several thousand dollars less than the BRZ, with less bells and whistles to malfunction that don't add anything to the car's driving or handling capabilities.... lesseee... yeah... sounds like sour grapes to me.

On the other hand, maybe I WANTED to save some money by not paying for things I don't care about, like a name, a badge, heated seats, navigation, etc.

I'll let you decide.

It's interesting GM bought 30% of Fuji to make SAABarus before SAAB went out. Now Toyota bought those shares and now Scion is on its way out. It's like once Subaru starts having to manufacture your cars the brand is done. Muse has a good point about the FRS being no frills I don't see that happening with a GT86.
