Your FRS might just be more rare than you even imagined.

Looks like an FRS might be a rare car. Maybe only GT86 and BRZs going forward.

Kinda saw this coming, what did toyota exspect, scion didnt have a colt following like M's or sti, F sport. Bottem line they made grandma cars and tried to get kids to buy them...the only sports car that came out on the brand was the FRS. (Dont even bring up the Tc, that car was crap.) They should of tried to market TRD more and moved away from economy cars and focused on performance. A 16-21 year old isnt going to be interested in a frigin rebadged camry... He's going to want something that goes vroom vroom. All n all they shouldnt of even started scion to begin with. Any way this means they have more time to focus on finishing my supra and MR2 that i havent bought yet

Nope.

I'm no expert in these things, but I'm willing to wager that the change from Scion to Toyota will have little to no impact on current FR-S values.

Oh good. They're still going to carry their cars as Toyotas. Maybe there's a chance we can get an FRS at negotiated prices now. Almost all dealers here have "pre-negotiated" prices now thanks/no-thanks to the business model the car dealership I used to work for started. There's a brand new BRZ Limited going for $26k vs $28k that I've been eyeing. Same price as a base FRS.

They do have the worst resale value of any car I have owned. You drive off the lot and lose 10k

Bingo. I felt like hit happened overnight too. Used prices were holding steady around 21k, and then out of nowhere, they were like 17k.

No thanks.

I'll happily turn around and sell my STI 5 years from now for 30k like everybody else

i petition they retire the FR-S.

Stop buying them so they get expensive. I want mine to be worth 50k in 5years.. (LOL)

Wait until they upgrade the engine. Just 10hp more on a new model will destroy our 15k car we currently own.
