996 TT H6 FTW!!! <----- that's a bunch of acronyms

In all seriousness an LS3 is great bang for the buck but would upset balanced think.

An all aluminum ls wouldn't completely ruin the car. It'd definitely be more point and shoot though.

Too many downsides... at least for me.

I wouldn't discount the FA20 just yet.

A LS swap was already done over in japan as a drift car. How much does a EJ swap cost?

you could run a 5.2 lsx all aluminum block, with some patriot heads, electronic ps and wp, lighter battery and remove teh A/C and you'll probably be within 15-20 lbs. of the FA

I think the best choice might be( just imagine) AMG 6209cc v8, which one is on SLS(better) or CLS63/C63.

Because the engine it self is very light weight, and also provide enough enough torque...

It's too big.

What about a Dry Sump for the 2GR?

Also, how much further forward? Also, I'm not sure how the makeup of the IS250 manual tranny is, but couldn't that help with a solution rather than using an adapter plate?

Just rattling off the top of my head here.

p.d. do you have a definitive weight difference for the 2GR vs FA20?
