true but for stuff like floor mats and boot mats, they wear out/got dirty quicker than 12months anyway. obviously stuff that require fitting/installation (eg. fog lights, tow ball etc) i'd put it down on the contract.
Good call.

So should the Maths look like this:?????

$37,990 GTS Auto
$949.75 Stamp Duty (2.5% of RRP)
$676.50 Rego (From Vicroads Website)
$1895 Dealer Delivery - should have been included up the top prior to calculating the stamp duty

= $41511.25

there is still a good $1200 that is not being accounted for.

I understand there is CTP and Plate Fee (which should be removed as I have my own plates), but that cannot possibly be $1200 worth right?
Depends, sorry dude i don't mean to be vague at this point but i'm from NSW - is it business or private rego? Cos' business rego is usually more expensive on both the actual registration cost and the CTP.

What he said ^

Or ask them for a Tax Invoice which has to itemize all the costs.

Its Private.

So I have this clear, the stamp duty is calculated on the RRP + Dealer Delivery?

If this is the case the Stamp Duty goes from:

$949.75 to $997.125

There is still $650 not being accounted for.

Yep, it's RRP + Dealer Delivery + Metallic Paint (we don't know if it's standard or not yet) + any other accessories/options then the stamp duty - GST is already to be included prior.

P.S. Sorry to take so long to respond, more 86 enquiries

P.P.S. If i was you i'd retract your thread title if possible, regardless of how angry you are at the moment because there is alot more than one (1) Toyota dealer in Victoria. Not trying to be an arse here, just sayin'.

I was getting a bad deal so I've cancelled my pre order, and have made a deal with a new dealership. I am $2000 better for it. So while I could name one Victorian dealership I am not happy with, I can name another that treated me well.

Fern-tree Gully have said if I am happy to go back on the waiting list they might be able to match the lower prices. They just didn't want to discount a car they had essentially in stock.
I don't want to go around bad mouthing anyone, I will just take my business elsewhere.

but as far as i'm concerned, they are not discounting. they are charging a markup which is illegal!!

If i knew for sure they were doing something illegal I would lodge a formal complaint. But I suspect it is somehow legal. I am just happy to part ways.
