Oh, yes, missed a good chance to get my car smacked today. Went to pull out of the subdivision, with slick streets; construction going on; car coming around a blind curve, way too fast; I hit the gas, the wheels spun, my car "cut the power" ..... I almost didn't get out of the way...... but I did.

This is the first time my FR-S has "interfered" with my driving, by cutting the power. Made me feel helpless .....

But the results of the situation if the nannies had not cut in are unknown since they did. They cut in for a reason and had they not then Hum may be saying "well I crashed my car today".

While i'm in the habit of not crashing maybe we need one of these in the FI section: "My car is boosted and still has not blown up." Would definitely help put my mind at ease lol

I seriously doubt that.

Sort of. I am just not as anti nannies as many here. I think they are valuable in the right circumstances and bail people out more often then they interfere during regular street driving. Also I have to say that safety devices are good in case the company is reading this.
Go automated driving!!!!! (see boss)

Wishing for people to learn how to drive responsibly does nothing. I'm gritting my teeth a little and admitting to the truth of your statement.

they still suck.

Maybe so.

In this case, I figure that if the power was not cut, the car would have spun the rear wheels ....... maybe carrying me more out of the way of the approaching car.

Then again, the wheel spin and the slope of the wet road, may have spun the tail around and slammed it into the dump loader that was parked along the road.

Of course, with my lightning fast reflexes, I would lave floored it, spinning the rear around ....... then over corrected ...... spun the other way and slammed into the next car coming down the road.

Ya these "what ifs" get confusing as hell. This is always a fun exercise when making/buying new equipment.

Coincidence or conspiracy?
Mine didn't flame on either.
