Age old debate but I don't think it will happen even eventually. When the Toyota sponsored race version doesn't even have it I don't think there is much hope. They have been pretty clear not to expect it.
Those that want it can keep there fingers crossed though.

The Edlebrock supercharger is probably the closest we will get to a factory FI system.

Ya, they made sure the aftermarket was prepared to support all the more power needs way back before they even released the car. Hell, their release write ups almost plead with people to go aftermarket for this sort of thing.

Yeah, it's good that they designed the car with aftermarket support in mind.

But if you live in a nanny state like I do, it can be a massive hassle to get aftermarket forced induction engineer certified and legal.

A stock FI model would have saved a whole lot of hassle.

On the other hand it's nice that guys like Harrop and Cosworth do their best to make their Supercharger kits look like factory gear so the local constablry can't tell the difference.

So we make a whole tread up about the new turbo with loads of Subaru and Toyota logos and get everybody to say how nice it is to have factory ones and you can show that to anybody that questions you.

If that fails we can point them to all the clickbait blogs that said it was coming. With the hundreds of backing site it is a sure thing to convince them.

I'm glad we don't have stupid rules regarding modifications in the US like there are in other countries. Heck, where I'm at in Georgia doesn't even have emissions or safety checks.

#1 change for MY2017...new brand. Well, old brand. Or being enveloped into the big brand. However you want to look at it.
