Creating or finding missing ROMS for RR OFT and OpenFlashECU

As the title suggest I have found a lot of ROMS that do not have definitions available or are even mentioned in any forums.
In particular it looks like there has been a clear split in ROMS from the Toyotas and Subaru's. since early 2015

We all know about the 700 I/G A0,01,2I/G the D00 G/I and even the E00I
But recently I've come across a Q ROM

The Manual MY16 BRZ are using the F20P ROMS Which I know we have definitions for which via are virtually the same as the F10G

However the Auto MY16 BRZ is using a F20Q ROM and I cant find any reference to this any where or guides on how to start creating a definition file for it.

The Reason I mention a split in ROM definitions between Toyota and Subaru is the Toyotas are sticking with the G and I series from what I have seen with F10G and E00I

....
What do I need to do to go about getting definitions for the missing ROM types?

If you have an OFT send the new rom to openflash guys and they will sort out definitions roms and logging parameters. Thats part of the price difference between an OFT and a Tactrix.

Same deal with Ecutek send rom to Ecutek and they do rom/defs/logging parameters

or BrzEdit send rom to them.

If you have tactrix then your basicly on your own, or you have to ask the guys over at romraider to define the new rom and supply the ECU ram logging addresses for the various parameters.

It always nice to donate to the romraider guys as they basicly work for free in their own time.

Be aware that the romraider guys get pretty "pissed" if you use the work they provide for free, then run a tuning business

If your running a bussiness then buy BrzEdit and they do the defs and logging for you and the price is pretty good

http://brzedit.com/index.php/2013-01-22-04-55-54

It obviously possible to create your own definitions and locate the ecu RAM logging addresses, but its a very complex and time consuming process, and requires a high level of skill and lots of learning. of low level programming and dissassembly of SH72531 processors or similar

LOL How did I know you'd throw that line in there.

Well Luckily I don't run a tuning business, and work with software code as a job so I'll send the undefined ROMs over to the guys at RomRaider to see if they want them in the mean time I'll start reading the post you mentioned, thanks for passing them on. I'm always happy to learn.

Like I said I don't run a tuning business. Not that I should have to justify myself to you, however the $80 covered food and drinks for any that were in attendance, public liability insurance beyond what the warehouse I borrowed for the day covered, the days pay I took off from work to have tunes ready to go for club members. If I was running a business like that you would have found many more post and with a fee that only covers the overheads I would have a very hungry and homeless family.

And yes Robert did come through last time with a fix for the F20P, A ROM that you swore was a modified Ecutec ROM or a JDM vehicle, thanks to Robert and those that helped him we now know how to write and modify all AUDM Manual 86/BRZ.

I can see why from your last post he speaks so highly of you.

search for rcampici posts on this forum and on gt86 com au you will find i offered robert plenty of help and we got on quite well untill one day he became abusive

you correct 100% you dont need to justify yourself to me as i dont have skills to do definitions or logging ecu addresses

the guy you need to justify yourself to is @Td-d

Thanks for the Plug to the old mans business, its always good when we receive natural links to his site. If you bothered to Read what Caswell Plating Australia do you will see it has nothing to do with tuning, and every thing to do with Electroplating, Powder Coating, Anodizing, and the Cheapest Plasti Dip Around.

The warehouse location was not a coincidence at all do you know how hard it is to fins a venue where you can have 20 cars park, have a BBQ and chat for a day without the worry of Cops rocking up.

At least Robert took a while to become abusive towards you, your attitude towards me from the get go on this forum and others has been shocking, I don't care what differences you have with others don't let that impact on how you treat every one else.

We are now well off topic any way. As it would appear in Australia at least Subaru and Toyota are now using separate ROMS
Toyota on A/T latest is E00I where as Subaru is F20Q on their A/T
Toyota on M/T latest is still D00G or F10G where as Subaru is F20P on their M/T

I dont have a problem with you personally.

If its following the same pattern then F10G is identical to F20P

it possible that E00I will be same as F20Q, but E00I has been out for a year

if you have an F20Q rom post it up and we can find out

its probably going to be Australia\europe rom like previous although europe never got A02G that we got in australia.

I asked you to post up the F20P weeks ago but no response, ended up getting one from shiv at openflash weird thing was it wasnt from australia . P series was for japan in older rom series according to ecutek but looks like its all changed.

Maybe i could say the same of yourself no F20P rom posted no definition posted even though you had both, makes people think you just want to take and give nothing in return. Opensource is about sharing.

If you share stuff with others and help here then in most cases they will do the same

Here is the ROM in BIN format for the F20Q

I have run a compare against the E00I and they look very different. Unfortunately with out definitions I can't see what Changes Subaru have made Vs the E00I or the common A01I

It is what the structure is and tweaks that I'm interested in. Especially as this new BRZ seems to fell much punchier than the other autos when in sports mode.

Just to clarify - all those definitions were done by me - for RR, and for OFT, and I've assisted Robert occasionally. The F20P rom was sent to me by Shiv - I've sent him the definition, so that's probably where Robert got it. I just haven't gotten round to uploading the definition to Github yet.

I can look at it in ecutek the tune tables for fueling timing cam timing are same as older roms, any punchyness is likely due to auto trans programming.

Let me know if you need help with disassembly or coding for these Renesas processors. Always happy to work collaboratively and I can send you some of the work I've done.
