Creating custom sub boxes...
It seems that there are tons of companies out there working on R&D for just about everything for the 86's. The one thing i haven't seen yet however is sub boxes.
Music is very important to me, and I'd love to have some box options to add some kick to the 86 stereo. It is also just as important to keep a clean look (not just a big square box with wires everywhere) and retain as much storage space as possible. I currently drive a 3000GT and there are two main custom boxes that were being created and sold by community members (that i can remember). First being a 2 10" enclosure: ![]() and the second is a single 12" enclosure: ![]() Both these pictures are mine, and the corner box is what I've been using for a while. I'd love it if a person or company could start producing custom boxes for the 86's, maybe with different sub size options, keeping a clean look in the trunk, and retaining as much storage space as possible. Go!

Now that's what I'm talking about. That would probably keep weight to a minimum also. I'll see if i can find the thread. Know if it was a 10" or 12" or something else?

Wow... Found it.
300 is pretty pricey for a sub box. I guess since it is fiberglass that could be why. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ght=fiberglass EDIT: Actually 300, isn't too bad after looking at others prices. http://www.tccustomz.com/vehicle_specific |

my previous car is also a 3000gt! *highfive*! and my brother built a box for me that's basically exactly like the one you had in your first picture. so i totally feel you on getting good sound for this car. he's gonna try to build another box for my frs now, but i'm not sure if he'll have the time. if not then i may buy the one from speakerbox... but in 8" size. :P
