Look like the top tube has soot deposit, evident of an exhaust leak through the welds

Another angle. Will be contacting Borla for warranty. Pretty pissed off about this. The welds are very shitty; now the picture is misleading as the actual weld is really from the inside of the pipe to the flange, as shown here:
