For those who installed themselves, would you say it's pretty straightforward and easy?
The CARB package is available for purchase if you decide to upgrade your TIY kit to a Factory Tuned system. We would need to know your EcuTek Dongle ID. The CARB EO decal is included.

JR system with high boost pulley was installed last week, will share the details later but I did want to address one concern. The pipe to the throttle body runs very close to the top of the supercharger pulley and even with the smaller pulley I have some rubbing issues if the assembly slides back even 1/4 inch. I have tightened the straps down as tight as possible and used a thick sticky felt spacer on the pipe that passes by the radiator fill tube which pushes the assembly away from the pulley.

Any other ideas?

First make sure you have the pipes as far over towards the passenger side as possible. The curved pipe should be almost touching the alternator. Once you do that, if you still have less than 3mm of clearance, you may need to trim the coupler on the throttle body side. These are cut by hand and if it is a little on the long side, it will prevent fully sitting on the throttle body. Just don't go wild with it, cut about 1/4" at a time until you achieve the needed clearance. But DO NOT do this until you've made sure the alignment is correct on the MAF side.

In your photo, it's pretty clear that the hose is not pushed all the way onto the throttle body; it should touch the tabs that stick up off the TB inlet pipe. I had the same issue...

That's the first thing I saw as well and once it is seated properly on the TB the clearance is there. My concern is keeping it pushed all the way on. I may put another clamp on the TB end of the hose but it appears the spacer between the charge pipe and the radiator inlet is helping prevent the pipe from sliding back off the TB.

Loosen ALL clamps between the throttle body and the 45 degree bend.

Wiggle things around a bit until its all positioned correctly. Then tighten everything.

Voila, zero issues, and perfect installation.

I had issue where it would come off at high rpm, I'd buy an extra clamp and keep it in the car just in case as well as tape.

I replaced the clamps. Sometimes they appear tight as possible but aren't and the hose pulls away over time.

Also, as @CSG Mike said, it helps to loosen the nearby clamps and reposition the hose, making sure there is no tension pulling on it from the TB. Then tighten...

Hope you have enough material on the 45 degree silicone hose to work with. You should cut off the damaged area on the tubing as you shouldn't clamp past it. Just follow Moto/CSG Mike's tips and you should get a lot of clearance.

I had the same issue with mine before re-doing the piping. I ended up replacing the silicone tube as it got damaged...same with the hose clamp and pulley. I have about 3/8" clearance between the alternator-pipe-pulley now and have had zero issues over the past 700 miles or so.

I love how easy this kit can be installed and tuned without the need of visiting a garage, not to mention all the online support well done JR and everyone involved.

Go to Crawford performance's website they should have instructions for their AOS BRZ there.
