This has worked for me in the past

Half a belt twist, just like what was posted earlier. I've broken two belts too. Once was during initial install. 21mm rule was way too loose. the second time, my pulley bearings were shot and caused uneven wear on the belt since the pulleys were moving. Now on the third belt for months and no problems.

I am sorry you are having trouble, at least you can say their customer service is awesome. CJ at Group A you are the man!!!

Not sure to be honest for the air filter. I guess when you think it looks dirty enough? lol

The oil said it was good to last two years. I forget what mileage though. I plan on changing mine once a year just because I track. Probably overkill, but rather play safe than sorry.

Just tested mine and the 90 degree twist holds true with my current tension. Might be the trick...

I did the 90 degree method and noticed the whine is a lot more louder when driving and idling... Is that normal?

Yeah, if you had it too loose before, there will definitely be a difference in noise level

Just called and spoke to CJ, definitely a great help. He did confirm that the increase in whine noise is very normal. Lets hope for goodluck this go around! Lol

Never had a belt snap on me either. 20000 miles with the c38 installed and lots of pulls. I wanted to mention however that the bearings in the pulleys went bad from running the charger with too loose of a belt. I knew the belt was a little loose but didn't expect the pulleys to go. Luckily I still have an extra set. I was surprised to see how much knock the engine was reading because of it, and how much power I lost.

hmm that's an interesting thing about knock and the pulleys. it makes since though since knock could be multiple things, including abnormal noises that the pulley bearings could make.

I was just about to call up CJ and discuss this exact thing with him. Going e85 on c30 or upgrade to c38
