Guy let's another guy drive his car and the guy skids into a car and the guy is a moron for letting the other guy drive.

Guy gets hit by a vehicle going straight through while he is making a turn and admits he is at fault (he IS) everybody try's to figure out how to blame the other driver.

You guys confuse the hell out of me sometimes.

The other driver definitely had the right of way. Im not saying OP is clear of fault, or the other driver is. The fault almost entirely lands on OP from his description. I just didnt get an answer as to whether or not the other driver tried to stop or evade; unless there was no time to do so. but in any case, that wouldnt put OP in the right, just both drivers in the wrong.

I'm just a little confused, but it's constant.

This irrational thinking is starting to make me think I joined a cult rather than a car forum. If anyone asks me to do a suicide pact, I'm out.

This is a real question not sarcasm (no matter how I worded it it sounds like sarcasm):
Is there an offense there where you can be charged for "failure to avoid a collision" or something like that? Without something along that line the fault goes completely to the person that committed an infraction (there is always some infraction when an accident occurs). At least that is how it works here. With the little info we have there is no way that the person driving straight would be held at fault here.

I didn't read the whole thread but... damage doesn't look THAT bad and the angle you are at days it would be really hard for the frame to bend. Also, I wrecked mine too(slid into a curb) with 5000$ damage and my premium barely changed. I think you'll be fine OP. Just relax and start looking at what new rims you're gonna buy to replace that busted one

yeah I'm pretty damn positive it was my fault. I didn't see the car at all. I didn't see him driving in the inside lane at all. I don't know if he switched from the outside lane to the inside. But we'll see what happens. When we collided the cars were perpendicular. The forced caused my car to face the other way.

The adjuster comes out tomorrow and we'll see. I'll keep y'all updated. Lol if it is totaled out then I might get another frs, a Mini Cooper, or an 2010 m5
