I flashed the 91 tune and it's been about 3 weeks since I flashed it. I followed all the steps properly but when I drive the car and press the gas pedal all the way down, on the diagnostic tool on the OFT it only reads 95% throttle, is it supposed to be like this?

So I am getting ready to flash with OFT for the first time.
My car CAL ID ends in A01C, I have already read the default map into OFT from the ECU. Now I am trying to make sure I have the right map to flash. The car has catless UEL, Perrin CAI, overpipe & HFC mid-pipe. So, stage 2 UEL seems like the right stage. I downloaded the OTS v2.070 tunes and my question is: My CAL ID is A01C, but the latest Stg2 UEL is F00C. From reading the first page info, it sounds like I should use the F00C since the last letter is still the same and that would be the most current version of that tune? EDIT: My thought was incorrect. I tried to upload the F00C bin file to my OFT and it said not compatible. The A01C is the only one that will upload successfully. I put the Stg2 UEL A01C bin files for 91/93 octane on the OFT. Off to flash the car

The OFT A01C is internally a B01C, every thing higher isn't compatible. Those are for the 2015/2016 models AFAIK. The OFT updates the car automatically to the most recent compatibility ROM for your car.

If I am reading all the docs correctly, it sounds like had I flashed using what was on my OFT originally, it would be versions 1.59. Although I admit it has been confusing figuring out what is accurate or what is out of date when reading the OFT website and various threads ![]() FYI, the car started up and idle'd just fine with the 2.070 Stg2 UEL map I flashed yesterday. I will see how it drives once I get it off the jack-stands and back on the road.

Open Flash Tablet - OFT TIPS Trick’s & FAQ
Just a heads up. The throttle response will be slop for the first 50 or so miles. Though, once the Ecu does some learning the response is better than ever.
I wasn't aware of this when I first tuned with the oft and I was like why is this such shit? Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Added some extra info on Tuning alerts for OFT in first post
Some example tuning Alerts These are pretty useful to alert you to problems with your car suggested settings for tuning alerts. You can have three Alerts and each of the three alerts can consist of up to 4 parameters configured to trigger alarm if All (AND) or one (OR) condition is met. Alert A (over temperature) Coolant Temp > 207 F Oil Temp > 250 F Select OR at bottom of screen Alert B ( knock alert & Fuel Trim alert) For E85 suggest -1 for Petrol may -2 FLKC < -1 Knock Correction < -1 IAM < 0.9 LTFT > +10 LTFT < -10 Select OR at bottom of screen I set the fuel trim alert as Im on E85 and it will alert me to excessive fuel trims due ethanol content changes or someone accidentally filling up with petrol, it will also alert you of exhaust or intake leaks. Alert C running lean alert you might have to tweak AFR for petrol/E85 try 13 for E85 12.5 Petrol RPM > 5000 Engine Load > 1 AFR > 13 Select AND at bottom of screen all of these alerts can be set together if any trip OFT will BEEP and FLASH screen You will need Template 8.2 of later and OFM version 1.21.0 or later Last edited by steve99; 01-28-2016 at 10:39 PM. |
