I found this out when running the cord for my ojocam, you can actually pop out the a-pillar cover and tuck it without damaging the cord. Looks alot cleaner and runs almost directly to the glovebox plug from there.

That's exactly what I thought. Or I could try to sell it to recoup some of the money. I figured for the price, I couldn't really go wrong

As he says, read the description before you criticize him. He's done that enough to himself.

I feel like I've read this from somewhere... But wouldn't tucking the wire behind the a-pillar cover have a chance of restricting the airbag? I could be wrong... I've never taken the cover off

I dont know, I didnt take the cover all the way off. I didnt think that the airbag mechanism runs that far down anyway. And anything is possible, but if you have seen an airbag deploy, there is nothing that is going to restrain that bad boy.

I would say luck more than anything else. The guy who was driving openly admitted that he was driving on an unfamiliar road and made a major mistake in tunnel blasting like that.

Really? Are you back in the GTA? Mine came in today! I was surprised how long the power cable is. I had no problem routing it from the glove box, up the passenger A pillar and across the headliner to just below the rear view mirror. Sorry for the lousy pictures.

You can twist the lens to face more forward vs down at the hood. Just be careful, it does feel like cheap plastic

Yeah, been home since like, October? But I've been all over SWO for work.

Don't think I'll be routing the cables behind anything, as the car sits for 5 days a week since I have my work truck and don't need to have the dash cam plugged in draining the battery. But we'll see what happens when I get it. I have next week off so maybe I'll get bored and do the routing anyways. Just gotta remember to unplug things.

It has an 'Auto off' and 'Screen off' functions . I set both for 1 min, but I did unplug the charger from the cigarette lighter just because.

I should have done more research!

I saw very positive reviews, then I took a leap of faith and ordered. Damn impulse buys.

Never even remotely wanted a dash cam until after today at work. Was working in Toronto and I apparently cut someone off (really, I had my signal on, started the lane change and the dude behind me gunned it to try and keep me from making the lane change). Dude fucking followed me, I had to stop at a light though. And he was screaming at me. Lowered my window and apologized, got called a "fucking little bitch ass ***got". I pulled away, he still followed me. Luckily when I got to where I was going, I was meeting a coworker to finish a project. Dude took off after he saw it wouldn't be a 1 on 1 confrontation.

That made me decide it's worth the piece of mind if that shit ever happens again. Fucking Toronto man, I hate that place.

Cable is long because they thought people also wanted to use this as a rear mounted cam. And it really does feel like cheap plastic (it probably is!!)

There's no battery, its has capacitors so all power gets cut once the car is off. I've had it plugged in since the day I bought it and car battery is fine.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong on anything, my memory isn't as good as it used to be - think 12 hour night shifts is finally taking a toll.
