Dash Cam Thread!!

Got a video of stupid drivers doing stupid things? Post them here!

I really need to get a dash cam. Being on the road 25+ hours a week could give me enough footage for feature film in no time.

Don't see what was stupid there Steve. You mean the guy coming into your lane? There was loads of room, he signalled and changed lanes all well controlled and proper.

Oh crap 25 hours? I thought I was bad with my 14+ hours. Most of mine is highway at weird hours though so there is not much excitement to be seen.

LOL dude that's not bad, Here in Atl they will nearly run you over jockeying for lane position. To keep from just riding the clutch in traffic I will stick in second and give myself a car of space, and two try to pull into it

There was plenty of room, yes, but he couldn't wait a second or two before coming in?

He essentially came out of nowhere and I wasn't expecting anyone to merge in like that.

Marco_86 12-23-2015 10:42 PM

didn't look too bad?? you came off worse than he did raging like that..

My job (telecom technician) has my traveling a lot during rush hour in some of the worst traffic in the country. I'm lucky when my first commute of the day takes less than 2 hours. A few weeks ago I had a 4 hour commute to a place 30 miles away, that was murder.

AHHHH gotcha. My twice a week, 2 hour each way commute consists of 5 minutes of well flowing city, 1 hour 50 minutes of highway at 75mph on cruise control and 5 more minutes of well flowing city. Many, many times I can take the whole highway trip without even touching the pedals once.

I'm going to have to agree that Steve overreacted just a bit; there was definitely plenty of room for the Corolla to merge into.

What dashcam do you use by the way Steve? I don't have one in my FR-S yet, and I'm looking to get one for it and the daily Crapolla.

After thinking about it (and having a beer), I did overreact. I'm probably too defensive when driving and usually wait a second or 2 so the person in the other lane know I want to merge in... meh.

Anyhoo, link is below. I love absolutely love it. Awesome support on the forum and no issues whatsoever. If you do want one at a lower price point, go with the b40/a118-c. Similar housing but different processor and not as good lens.

I don't see anything wrong. But I'm from NYC where everyone does that, so I dunno.

shit, that night video quality is awesome. The ability to purchase a circular polar lens is doubly-awesome. I hope they come out with a version that has dual channel recording, it'll definitely replace my Blackvue DR500GW-HD.

can we discuss different model cameras?

was thinking of picking one up
