Ex Machina is a great movie. A bit overrated, perhaps, but great nonetheless.

And plenty of boobs, too, for those who wonder.

JSimon, I don't agree with everything you wrote. But that post was epic and hilarious.

Emo Vader bugged me the most, but I'm looking at it like it's semi fan-service: 'See we can do traditional Star Wars, give us some leeway on the next films.'

(It still feelsto me like there was an old-style trilogy crammed into a single movie. Bromance too fast, Finn and Rey Insta-buddies, Phasma doing nothing, Rey Insta-Jedi...)

There was pain. It all fit together like Oedipus Rex.
I cannot take the rest of your post seriously if you think Episodes 1-3 were greater than the sum of their parts.

I agree. JSimon should get a job as a movie reviewer!

I only wish to add that if somehow they bring back Han Solo from the dead, after having a light saber shoved all the way through his chest cavity and out his back and then falling a mile or so down to the bottom of the artificial canyon, I may just get up and leave at that moment. Then again, it isn't as if physical reality has ever had anything to do with Star Wars.

I've seen all seven of these films now in their original theatrical release, going back to 1977, so it's very likely that I'll see VIII and IX too. I just hope that The Mouse has enough sense to stop there. Probably not.

Maybe it was the second lightsaber; he had one in Episode VI too. Kind of a reissue.

I used to be a professional video game reviewer, actually. Now I just teach kids to write and then fail to edit my own ranting.

Maybe the Force will give him eternal life after having done the total **** move of giving him a fratricidal, horse-faced, whiny, Gargamel child.

The Mousethership turn off the cash waterfall? They can't. They have to pay for the dismantling of ESPN.

Technically, I saw 1977 Star Wars in its original theatrical release. I was a newborn, though. No worries. It was at a drive-in. They had those back then.
