If they could just announce the 2017MY changes, that would be great.

I could finally decide whether or not to wait for a new one or start looking around for a used one in good condition.

You might as well just wait IMO. I doubt you would regret it.

I've heard they are going to a 1.5 ltr Turbo engine with about 150 Kw and a bit more torque.

Apparently it's all to do with emissions, fuel economy and weight reduction, a move which many manufacturers are doing these days.

Since I use the FR-S for my commute, all I want to know is... What's going to impress my boss (and the ladies) more?

Getting to work 3 minutes earlier because of the faster 0-60 in a manual? Or my improved e-mail response rate in an automatic?

Freakin decisions bro...

"2017 will debut the STi & TRD models. It will have a curb weight of 2,000lbs exactly to spite the s2000. Also the long awaited "turbo version bro" will be added but it will be 12V battery powered and have first year production problems. Also no more crickets since the high pressure fuel pump has been moved to a remote location (dragging behind the car). -motoring.au "

Well you heard it here first fellas 2017 is the year to wait for.

@LOLS2K the "insider" tells me that the Prius will be upgraded to 18x8.5 mag-alloy wheels wrapped in 235/40/18 pilot super sports as standard equipment in 2017 but unfortunately the FRS will remain largely unchanged in the brake/suspension/tires till the end of model run. Which happens to be in 2017.

Whew it's been a busy "news" day over here at motoring.au

I understand that Toyota has bought controlling interest in Yugo and they are going to resurrect the company so that they can get a good deal on tires.
The 17s will have a 12 inch rim to allow the tires to lose grip even easier.
