I have stuff to do Saturday - but I can move things around. So pending an actual destination and some estimation of time involved... I could be in for this.

Places that are definitely out:
- Vista house - agree this is always a shit show, too many tourists / bikes / whatever
- Germantown - too many bicyclists, too short, speedbumps

Other ideas?

Hey, @Decay107, you have some good routes, right? I couldn't go but remember everybody enjoying the drive.

Can you come out this weekend?

Ah, I'd love to, but I work 3 - 11pm on Saturday, Sunday . If I have enough notice I might be able to request a day off, but I'll likely not be able to make this one (bummer, the weather is supposed to be great for the rest of the week!)

I could be in, know some good routes but all on the west side. We could go to my normal proving grounds which is s219 to SW Bald Peak Road, haven't encountered a cop yet along the route. It's about a 30-40 minute drive, mostly twisties and we could end at a pretty decent diner. Another possibility (if folks are feeling adventurous) is timber road to Vernonia, done it way more on a bike than in a car but it's a pretty technical road. No cops there either, but there is an area you need to go slow to avoid angry shotgun wielding rednecks (no, I'm not kidding). Unfortunately it may not be too friendly to some of our lower compatriots, I caught air the last time I drove it in a car.

I'm pretty sure you have to be on time to a meet to even be considered the soul of the group... You're invited too @Chen. I just assumed you were working

How does this sound? 1 pm at cascade station on Saturday Jan 2. From there we can choose Germantown, woodland or whatever. But at least we have a time and initial location and the people who actually show up can determine what route. Cool with everybody?
