Not only is it a lot of weight, it's a lot of weight in the exact wrong place… 200 to 300 lbs that high up with move the center of gravity.

Wont buy a car without one unless its some beater or something i dont really plan on keeping long. I would never buy a new car without one.

I see why they stray away from putting them in "sports" cars, but all of my cars have had them or ttops and im addicted to them. I have a 240sx with one, had to fly out to buy it back in 2006 because i couldnt find one that was clean with a sunroof local.

with that said, i wont buy a BRZ/FRS unless they have a factory option for them. It doenst need to be on EVERYONE they sell, just a option, or a targa.

And mr licensed rally driver with a picture of a Ferrari, NO. It doesn't add 300 lbs or even 200 for that matter. Dont ever go full retard again.

This x 2. I've driven junk for years. Sporty well designed junk, but junk none the less. AE86's, (caged hardtop) Miatas, etc. - because I couldn't afford a contemporary car with the purity of purpose I wanted. If the FR-S had been standard with a roof anchor I would have bought another used RWD coupe.
