But as mentioned above, go to the dealer and ask for one and you shall receive. Its 1 sheet of paper

Define "outrageous"... $315 for lowering springs WITH bump stops? Seems good to me. $1195 for a full stainless, awesome sounding cat-back exhaust? Sounds fair. $445 for an air intake system? Seems market priced to me.

You guys need to stop comparing used prices or the prices of new aftermarket junk by no-name companies and assuming that one of the most established OEM performance divisions in the world would instantly be priced the same as some off-shore junk in a white box made by some guy in his garage with the accuracy of an etch-a-sketch. The prices above are very fair and reasonable considering equivalent parts. The springs are competitively priced to Eibach springs but includes new bump stops (vs cutting) and retains your factory warranty. The exhaust is about average price to aftermarket cat-back exhausts, but again, retains warranty. The intake is the same story.

If you don't want them, don't buy them, but they are not outrageously priced by any means and they will perform the same, if not better, to anything in the aftermarket.

Just saying, for similar price you can obtain (in my opinion) better mods. I am not punking TRD items at all, but you can get a better catback cheaper (this is simply my opinion) shopping around can save you a few.

Think it's more to do with things like the fender wings, which are what, $700, if not more? What about that piece of plastic that goes between the rear window and the trunk for $240?

How is that justifiable at all?

I bought the TRD lowering springs off of EBAY for a total of $285 CAD shipped

cheaper than their listed catalog price

Considering all bolt on mods do nothing, you are simply paying for brand in most cases. The warrantable aspect and the time spent by TRD on engineering these parts to ensure they wont have adverse affects on your car are what you are paying that small premium, if anything for.

Check your local speed shops and you'll find they aren't $9.99.

TRD Japan is not the same as TRD USA. Completely different company. One is actually managed by Toyota Motor Sales (Toyota USA) and the other is just a 3rd party company to the main umbrella. This is why you can by some of the parts at your dealer and not others.

Probably because you bought them from a dealer in the states or one that was willing to sell the parts below MSRP. Like cars, dealers are "free to sell for less."

They aren't rebranded Eibachs despite looking like them. They have different engineering standards than Eibach products and also include the bump stops which Eibach does not.

The exhaust is a full cat-back for the FR-S.

All I'm trying to point out here is that everyone instantly assumes the dealer is a rip off. After years of dealers getting flack for doing that, sure, it's easy to paint them all with that picture. But I've first hand watched members here over pay for things through 3rd parties when I know first hand parts are cheaper at the dealer, so sometimes you do it to yourselves. The "JDM Knee Pads" or as I call them, OEM parts, are available at your local dealer for LESS than your JDM suppliers sell them for. But people don't go shop the dealers because they instantly assume they will get scammed.

Shop around and shake that idea that they are bad. I've had nothing but awesome relationships and experiences with various dealers before for parts, service, etc. Do your homework and don't assume that all parts are equal.
