The car did not originally get released as it is because they maxed out technology and had to wait for new manifolds to be developed it was the planned specs from day one.

Hand build engine?
Nice.
Notice how they're really ambiguous with the redline? I'm betting it's 11k. And you need to install a new tacho-meter to unseal the new potential.

You know what else had a hand-built engine? DC2 Type-R. Somehow that didn't cost 60k though.

Well...yeah...dude, what Hopped up Honda is gonna cost that much 😂😂😂

An 86 is a real sports car.
Real racing parts= Real expensive

EDIT: I definitely would pay that much for a hopped up s2000 from the factory.

All Type-R are hand built anyways. If you wanna go hand built, look at NSX. Original price of NSX were $60k~$80k for car that had less than 300hp! Much less, those prices were in early 90's!!! Do you see people complained? Nope, not that I know of.

The car is nice, but I wish you could just buy the engine itself.
