Well it's been a minute since I last posted an update. Currently clocking upto almost 8000 miles on the car, did the oil change myself a couple of months back and just about to pull the wheels for the tire rotation. Getting a little sad though as I know the season is pulling in and as soon as we get snow here in PA I'm done for the winter (Especially with the racing slicks that my stock tires have turned into over the last 10 months).

Of course, long term off the road means more time for mods. I'm planning on getting the N1 Catback and Resonated front pipe for Christmas, as well as seeing what else I can manage to squeeze out of the Christmas budget. Will likely use the time over the winter to dip the wheels and a few other little things that I've been meaning to do for months but haven't got around to.

As an aisde, managed to score the exact personalized plate that I wanted for the car though.

So, it's been about 5 months since I last did any modifications to the car at all (aside from fitting the Fumoto Valve when I changed the oil) and I figured it was about time to drop a big install again. I managed to pick up the Ividia N1 Titanium at a great price from @fteightysix with free shipping (which arrived the next day might I add!). The deal is also still on if anyone has been holding off whilst looking for a good price on this system.

This obviously meant that I had to try and get it on the car before the end of the season, because where is the fun until waiting until the spring to install this thing. Anyways, let me make with the pics.

Everything laid on the floor waiting to go on.

One of the tips peaking out, these things look beautiful up close.

Off with the old, this legitimately only took us (me and my father-in-law) about 20 mins to get the entire old system off. Props to Subaru/Toyota for making a system where the hardest part is actually getting under the car in the first place.

Lastly, dem tips:

Now a couple of videos of before and after as I feel they speak for themselves much better than my words and a few pictures can. (Click for vids)

So, new year brings some new mods. I'd planned to have this on around January 1st, but had some problems with receiving a defective header and therefore had to send it back to CA before getting the actual correct one back. It's also been a real PITA to get the header on and fitted correct, indeed I think that I still have a post front pipe air leak right now. I will say though, cost/hassle/time versus reward it was still definitely worth it to switch to a stage 2 tune.

So without any further delay we'll get to it

Overall I got this for $330 with shipping and it came with the overpipe as well. Definitely a great deal all in all, even with the hassle of getting the wrong one initially.

So of course, this thread is nothing without a sound clip/video so let's have at it. This was with LC set at 4k rpm. I plan to up it to 5k rpm when I start to tweak the tune to dial it in. However right now I'm still trying to see if I can pick out if/where I have the air leak

Time for a 2016 update to this thing.

I've just ordered the Ambit RT8's in Matte Bronze 18 x 9.5 +38. Once they turn up I'll be doing a complete overhaul on the wheels including a new set of tires as I kind of maybe burned through the stock set that came with the car as after 11K miles I'm at the tread bar on them.

When we installed the Tsudo UEL I managed to get not one, but 3 pretty major leaks throughout the system. Took a while to get everything sorted out but finally after today it seems to be done and leak free. Turns out I had a bad gasket on the back of the mid-pipe where it connected to the Y pipe of the N1, the Tsudo over-pipe wasn't meeting properly with the front pipe and the UEL wasn't torqued down fully on the left side. All in all, lots of noise and smell for such small issues.

Once the Tsudo was on I didn't really like the raspy sound that the Grimmspeed produced, so I switched back to the stock box and put the High-flow filter back in which made it sound a little better. Sad because I loved the look and the gains of the Grimmspeed, but this is a daily and as such I had to be happy with the way it sounded. However, removal of one mod gives me a chance to sell it, which should give me money to finance the purchase of the Valentis that I do so want.

Anyways, enough talk, here's the way she stands as of today (2/20/16)

Finally was able to start work on the interior panels as the weather has warmed up a little. Tackled the dash panels first, I'm highly impressed with how well it turned out, took about 7 or 8 coats of dip to get good coverage. Next up are the vent trims and then the door handles. Have something fun planned for those.

As for the old android phone, it's my interface screen for Torque, mounts perfectly on the bar at the side of the vent control using a very low profile magnet mount.

Thank you, you're spot on. I've got the Ambits on order right now, just waiting them to to ship. Looking at coilovers too at the same time.

Modding season is upon me again!

Big changes coming in the very near future. I've got the tail-lights, wheels and coils on order so everything is coming together nicely. Also planning on moving onto the interior in the very near future to start everything in there. Speaking of the interior; The dash panel and door handles are now painted. Vent trims are next up, hopefully tomorrow when I get some time off.

Big change time began today, installed my TEIN coils yesterday, took about 6 hours overall due to heavily seized bolts and a lack of an impact wrench, but we persevered and got them in. Right now I'm running them on the stock wheels with spacers, but soon will be running them on the Ambits from my previous post. Also, took a few mins to install my customized Valentis today as well, must say they look amazing on the car, so glad that I went for them.

Running with 4 threads at the front and 5 in the back.

On

As for what makes them custom, for anyone who missed the groupbuy. Sequential Indicators. You can see these in the video below.

Isn't tinted tail lights illegal basically anywhere in the US? Also no reflectors is a thing with aftermarket tails that give people trouble even if not tinted.

I don't really care, hell i ordered the same GB you did! They look sick.
But you said something to the effect of wanting to pass every inspection and not have any ticket able offenses waiting to happen. Hope your aware.
