As you can see the Pressure plate was still in terrific condition, the bearing had no lubrication and was eating itself alive but still spun and therefore hadn't begun to eat up the pressure plate. Now that I've done it, I'm sure I could it all again in under 5 hours!

@rice_classic How's the new bearing after some miles? So far so good?

Thinking about getting one of these to get a visual on the bearing periodically.

Would you put this under the boot where the clutch fork is located? I might need to check this out this weekend instead of dropping the tranny to inspect.

Yes. I don't see anywhere else you can stick the camera into.

Better than when the car was new.

Underneath on the lower driver side of the tranny are 2 slats (cutouts) that are covered by a metal plate. Lots of room to get a camera in there.

You need to understand one thing....The parts on the website are for customers paying for them direct. The parts on the RO from the Dealership are marked up. How do I know this??? I work for a Dealership

This might be a really stupid question but how closed off is the transmission? Can water or anything get inside from outside elements? TOB seems worse this week really crunchy, going to bite the bullet and just pull the tranny. Now to decide if I should replace the other components...

Shady. The parts departments at local dealerships give me discount from list price.

Possible but not likely due to the way the transmission in situated on the car. Unless you drive into a large pool of standing water, it should stay fairly dry even if driven in rain.

Their still making a lot of money off of you. They will mark up the "list price" (depending on parts) from 75% to 400%. Then tell you your getting a 30% whatever whatever discount. Just letting you know what the inside knows
