Backend wants to go first? No.... a completely balanced vehicle with wide tires and enough stability nannies that anyone could drive the car. If you turn everything off and don't know what you are doing they can get you in trouble, but.... If you want to drive a corvette civilized it is EASY. They can also get 28-30 MPG reliably if you just set the cruise and go.
I've driven things with more power (never owned anything over 250hp though until my modded brz) including a 370, g37, gtr, r34, mustang gt500, corvettes and at no point while driving those did I feel they were more FUN than in the BRZ. Did they have more power, speed... yes. Were they more fun to drive aside from in a straight line? not to me anyways, something very attractive to me having a 300+hp go kart. To each is own I guess but I don't know you don't feel as connected to the car with bigger GT type cars and heavy b*tches like the 370 that's just my opinion though.

@billwot please go easy on the new kid from a foreign country.
@Cedars please make sure you understand the question before posting an answer.

Now, back to topic. What was it again? Oh yes, engine swap. Carry on.

I guess I liked having a 400 HP 400 lb ft go kart, lol. If you have driven an R34 (I have not) and I only got to ride in an R35 I am astounded you would say those are less fun than a BRZ, lol.

It can't. If that were the case, I would just buy 3 year old Versas and drive them until they needed their first oil change.

That's a perfect example. Retail on a new one with same options is 22,895.

Versa is the worst example of what you're saying. You can buy a new base model manual for 12,XXX and Nissan sometimes runs rebates. A new one would be better than a used one simply due to rebates and financing terms.

Keep in mind my BRZ is modded and while the r34-gtr are fun as hell, I live in a place called Quebec, Canada and our roads are complete shit (pothole ridden, salt eaten, small rocks/sand etc) so there aren't a ton of places to let out something like a gtr to its full potential or to start throwing a big heavy(long and wide) monster sideways.

Given the proper conditions all the time then yes a GTR may be more fun, but in dealing with everyday life and geographical and infrastructure limitations, the brz (especially modded) is as fun if not more fun than most cars I listed in my last post (to me at least)

It may be the price too that influences my fun factor, when I drove my buddy's R34 (it was fun)but I always kept a bit of reserve driving the car seeing as crashing it would result in a hefty build and a lot of time and money searching for parts. I jumped a curb with my brz a week ago and it's in the shop atm and although it was unpleasant, I haven't really been down about it, had the car been a GTR or a brand new cayman or vette, I would probably still be sobbing uncontrollably. so that may have something to do with enjoyment factor, the fact that a mistake/accident will not cause me to have to remortgage my house for car repairs

Probably because people buy them and then realise oh fuck I bought an Altima, the worlds most uncomfortable pos car better sell it quick before it's worth 5 dollars

(I hate Altimas as you can probably tell)

To support your claim of 46% depreciation in one year, you show me a car that has lost 34% of its value in two years (we are in model year 2016)?

Most likely, this car was purchased for $20,000 and has only lost 25% of its purchase price over its two years.

Does nobody know how percentages work?

If you buy a car for $25,000, and within one year it is worth $13,500 then you have had 46% depreciation in a year.

If you buy a car for $20,000, and within one year it is worth $10,800 then you have had 46% depreciation in a year.

For big depreciation numbers, check out the more expensive vehicles. BMW 7 series is very good at depreciating, and I don't think that could drop 46% in a year.

Apparently they're still on 2015 Sentras currently since the 2016 gets a refresh and drops late December. So I showed you a one model year vehicle. Its just one example of many.

Yes I understand how percentages work. I may not be 46% but 37% seems pretty damn high and that's your best case scenario for that model atleast. Comparing that to the brz which only has a depreciation of 27% for one year.
