installation help (borgwarner efr turbo)

Okay I got my line correct now,

But I'm still over boosting

I ran the line directly into the waste gate skipping the electronic control solenoid - still over boost

I made sure my load is at 2turn or 3turn. But either way it's still going pass the set psi

So im thinking

a) my wastegate is not working? Any other easy way to fit out if it's not working except to find a compressor and blow some air in it to see if it open?

b) my boost gauge is not reading properly? I'm using scangauge 2 and using its built in BST reading. It's reading through ODB II. It reads around -10psi at cruise and open up to almost 20psi....which is not good

Any suggestion???

------------------------------------------

hey guys, i think i ran my line wrong w/ my turbo, hence my wastegate is not reading the pressure to open up at the desired PSI.

the 2 pictures below are not mine, but I have 2 ports (circled) i'm not sure where it should go to. can anyone help me out? I have the treadstone turbo kit (no instruction).

SOLVED!!

Thanks in advance

I'll take a look at mine in a bit, but can tell you:
-The one marked A is a vacuum line
-The ones under B are the boost solenoid. One goes to the turbo and one goes to the WG actuator. The 3rd one isn't used. I'll take a look to see how it's connected.

Yep, B is hooked up just like the picture. My solenoid isn't on the turbo, though. I have it mounted in a different location, but it's still connected as shown, with the 3rd port not used.

Let me know if you have any other questions as I'm running the Treadstone kit as well.

Can't get any good ones. I'm trying to find some I already took.

Which wastgate actuator is installed? They have a low medium or high boost option. Im running the medium boost spring. It'll initially spike to 14 psi then drop to 12 psi.

I'm running the medium one, but it doesn't seems like it is reacting to the setting on the wastegate.

That's funny because I bought the high boost one and it peaks to 14 psi on waste gate pressure alone.
