I've driven on KW and Ohlins, still prefer the setup 500's for daily especially DSG Editions since we add the AMsoil fluid in there. I consider them in the higher tier personally (we sell KW and Ohlins also, this is based on personal experience and testing them)

Haha Ohlins are very good, but can you get them rebuilt in the USA or Canada? That was important for me when looking for coils. But yeah you can get better then FA 500 for sure but they also offer better FA coilovers too like the 3way Dreadnought, I am sure those are greater then the Ohlins but are also like 7k hahaha!!

Edit: Link just for fun

I thought I replied already. Either it didn't post or got deleted.

If you're thinking of getting Fortune Auto coilover, this thread is a must read:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65642

My takeaway? A non-inverted monotube is a bastard shock that should be avoided. Cheap adjustable valving is not usefully adjustable. A features list, like "Swift Springs" and "pillow ball" sells better than actual quality. Also, people usually love their suspension they just dropped money on, and people usually don't know crap suspension even after it hits them in the ass 1000 times on a drive. The majority of mods are about feeling good after having done them, not about actual performance.

If I had a hard-on for replacing my stock suspension, I'd go with Bilstein B14s in the $1000 range. Tein sounds alright, too, but I've read plenty of bad reviews on other platforms. If you really want adjustable suspension, pay for what works, which means at least $2k and often a lot more for something from a reputable brand. Even then, you're probably better off just getting the damn things valved properly.

My mods? I like my header because it sounds nice. I like the brake pads because they slow me down consistently on the track. I like my stock suspension because it understeers going into a corner and then I get to play with the throttle on the way out, seeing how by my cojones are.

I'm confused by the animosity of both of your posts and I don't like the implications that I just bought coil-overs to feel good.

Animosity towards selling a low-end product as gold, yes. Really, at $1200, you're not getting ripped off. You're just not getting what you think you're getting. I never meant to be so bad to you.

Anyway, why else would people buy coilovers? They serve no purpose in regular life. The purchase must be meant to make us feel good. Why else would you purchase them otherwise? They're not going to win F1 races and earn big bucks or anything.
