Going 16" was not required but surely cheaper then 17"

For my brz I went 205-55-17 on the stock wheel which raised the car a little more

the difference at the end is by how much your speedometer will be affected.

Parked it until the streets are sane (or at least until they're not coated in a quarter inch of ice, which might be awhile since we're supposed to get more on Sunday/Monday)

I should buy a car cover...

Felt a little quicker response to throttle input, not super noticable but there. Also hear the intake a bit more than stock. I eliminated the stock sound generator tube as soon as i purchased the car, so I had gotten used to the quite interior.
