You don't need to open the hood. It's all on the bumper. Dental floss will work. But take your time. The paint on mine came off very easily. I noticed the paint is really thin up front.

I still think this would look really good:

Plus, it would cover up the little peg holes.

This. P/N 08984 is what you want. It's way better than Goo Gone, and one quart will last you forever.

I actually like that better than the JDM "T" badges I just ordered. I think I'll stash the badges and get me one of the side badges! Thanks for the great idea!

On a side note, I saw a great rebadging job this past weekend. It was a pearl white and gray smart rebadges with Mercedes logos. I literally LMAO. Sadly I didn't have a camera with me at the time (it drove by on the beach in Daytona).

I was getting the oil changed on my silver SC430 a few years ago and in the other bay there was a silver Geo Metro with Lexus badges. The owner was a little embarrassed that my fancy car was next to his wanna-be Lex, but I thought it was pretty awesome!

I was wondering the holes in the trunk and hood, do the Toyota badges line up with the holes from the scion badges?

The service manual says that there are push nuts on the pins of the front emblem, and that the front bumper cover needs to be removed to take the badge off. Is this true?

No, but there are holes for pins to line up in when your installing the emblem.

Frsguy, I was thinking the same thing. I guess the best thing to do would be to go down and check it out first hand. Personally I would like Lexus badges on my fr-s, but I would settle for Toyota, over the scion badges. I think I will check this weekend, and if the Lexus badges don't fit, then Toyota it is.
