That's just a photoshop my buddy did to give a very rough idea of what it will look like. The ones I ordered are actually 5x100, my buddy just grabbed a shot off the internet to use in the photoshop. haha

As everyone said, a quad cam is simply two cams over two cylinder banks.

I have never heard of a true QOHC set up, and I imagine that it would be inefficient.

I never claimed that the car was a QOHC. Not sure where people are getting that. But to clarify, I'm saying the car would technically be a DOHC quad cam, since there are 4 separate cams in the system. Essentially two DOHC setups on each cylinder bank.

Never said you did claim it was.

I was just noting that there was never any true QOHC set up that I've ever seen, and probably never will be.

Ah gotchya. Sorry, I was just thrown off because that seemed like a different direction from what the original question was.

Don't worry, I reread your OP and I seemed to have missed some stuff. My bad.

Part of the problem here is that you're mixing two things that should be kept separate.

This is a DOHC flat-4, which already implies 4 camshafts.

You don't need to state "DOHC quad cam motor" because that does not tell anyone what type of engine configuration it is.

Quad cam flat-4
or
DOHC flat-4

No need to mix the two together like "DOHC quad cam".

I agree that you don't need to mix the two, I was simply trying to state that the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Although you did just admit that it can be considered a quad cam flat-4

The correct definition of our cylinder type would be "DOHC Quad Valve".....
