Honestly, I switched from the JR carb tune to Delicious' Flash and go tune v16.xx.
I was having funky fuel trim/idle issues at low rpm with my radium pcv catch can attached. Another time I was out in the desert and I got that P0172 dirty maf code.

Been much happier with the performance after switching to speed density. Although low/partial throttle response isn't as fine as a MAF tune, its definitely acceptable for daily driving. Alot smoother than the carb tune when you're having those issues.

I'm honestly thinking of having it pro tuned... but I don't want to pay for a tune without headers, catless, fuel pump, injectors, and 12lb pulley. The only thing is I'm not sure if this is a tune issue, ecu issue, or something else...

Quick question for everyone, what color is the fluid in your reservoir? Out of the bottle it's like a nice translucent WRB, but in the can it's like a pastel Tiffany green for me. Just trying to see if that's normal.

The codes you're experiencing aren't a tune issue. The combination of a low circuit maf code plus an iat code are a direct and very clear result of something going bad in either:

A) Wiring between MAF and ECU
B) MAF itself is fried

If the issue is intermittent, this would point more towards a wiring issue. If the issue is permanent and the car is simply refusing to run with these codes, this would indicate a failed maf sensor. Keep in mind, sometimes it's not just a matter of making sure things are tight. Pins in connectors can get bent or corroded and cause issues like this as well; sometimes even overtightening the maf sensor can cause it to crack and break.

Sincerely,

Zach

When I had called Jackson in the past, I was told that the alternator can interfere with MAF readings/signals - could this have something to do with it?

If the wires are being run too close to the alternator it could cause some interference, but typically these aren't the codes you would be receiving. Especially in combination with each other! Usually, signal interference like that would just cause the readings to be skewed. A circuit low input code suggests that the ecu is not getting any voltage reading from the maf at all.

Zach

I will monitor this closely, hopefully I don't receive this code again... but at least if I do - I will have a good idea where to start insofar as diagnosing the issue.

I will say that the Ace Type A header with 350 over pipe really wakes up the midrange with this supercharger. That is all.

Agreed, we see an clear power increase as low as 2000 RPM's with the Ace Headers while also making the throttle more snappy.

I am on a flash and go tune, so that makes a lot of sense!

I have had the P0172 (System Too Rich Bank 1) and P1170 (Port Injector Fuel Performance) twice in a month. Car was sluggish, felt like it retarded all timing and threw a lot of fuel at it. Cleared the codes, went back to normal.

Talked to Jackson Racing a while back about this issue - they said clean MAF and try to keep the harness extension away from the alternator, that it can cause interference. Did both.

Yesterday was cruising on the highway at about 65-75. Car started feeling strange again... this time I pulled of the road, shut it off. Started the car back up, and it died right away. Popped hood, made sure all throttle body connections, ecu connections, and maf connections were snug. Also ensure battery (positive and negative) were tight, no issues on anything. Started the car again, same thing. Started again, revved it (2-3k) to keep it running and it would stay running, then back to idle it died out. Did this 2-3 times. Let it sit for 5-10 mins and then it started and acted normal.

Now, for the CEL I received during this start/idle issue. P0102 (Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input) and P0113 (Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input).

Anyone experience this before? Any idea on what is actually going on with it?
If you run into this any further, let us know. Email us at tech@jacksonracing.com.

Make sure that the extension harness is intact. I've only seen the IAT and MAF low input codes like yours when the harness gets chopped in half. I only see the harness get chopped in half when the harness is installed laying on the belt and the belt cuts through the harness.

Is there some one who got Jackson Racing supercharger kit, and have not yet installed it???
I want some one to help me with the mounting bracket...

The problem is that i already have the Rotrex unit... I got Greddy intercooler and a work place to create very good piping.

But all i need is JRSC Mounting bracket... I have mailed them and got no response...

Maybe some one can just draw the bracket on paper, and send me this paper (even scaned a4 list) and than i can CNC it my self...
Im ready to pay for this $$$

And of course ifsomeone is selling this bracket lol!
I will buy it!!!

No issue with the harness being damaged visually. Never came near a belt - I inspected it to be sure of that. Not sure what this issue was, but it hasn't come back... yet...

After reading through the first 25 pages and seeing no real issues with this kits I'm just gonna ask anyway. Has anyone had any real issues with this kit doing the DIY and included tune?
