Unless you've used a rotary before or have an old car you don't care about to practice on, ditch the rotary. Random orbitals are so easy to learn and you can't hurt your paint unless you drop it on your car. Google paint holograms or buffer trails and see what you can do without even knowing it, let alone burning holes in your paint.
