Just seeing the same issue. So when people get their dash replaced does the issue just come back or are the dealerships doing something different to prevent the issue from reoccuring?

I went to the dealer for this yesterday. They told me it was a normal characteristic of the car. They pulled up another 2013 FRS and the had the same issue. No replacement per Longo.

When it's hot (real hot) take a pic of it, call Toyota HQ in LA or wherever your Toyota is and ask them to see if they can check out a picture of it. Dealers will ignore it.

I called them for:

1) My loud clutch fork***
2) Throw out bearing***
3) Foot rest
4) Window weather seals leaking

If it has a star next to it, I took to dealer 2-3 times before they did something. They had told me it was all normal of 'these' cars. Not until I asked Toyota if it was normal did they do something. Oh and they only did something after Toyota HQ took my side in investigating. Even if its super small, IMO call them and ask, then tell them you have a concern that the dealer may brush it off.

Good luck.

p.s. if all else fails, try a different dealer!

Glad they are stepping up their game. If you still have car, take pics. My Camry had its dashed replaced courtesy of Toyota campaign on cracked dashes. New dash, however, fitment was not necessarily OK. Watch for light sensor being placed correctly and fitment where dash meets door panels.

Also watch for scratches on vinyl dash and such that may occur.
