Spring Installation Shops?
I did a search on the forums and couldn't find anything besides an old threat about shops in the East Bay with no good answers.
Anyone have any recommendations for shops or people who can install springs for a good price? I've been quoted an average of 250$ for spring installation without alignment and whatnot. Would do it myself, but I've only don't spring install on an old Miata and the FRS looks a bit more complicated/don't wanna mess it up

That thread is still good, most of the shops named are still around. You probably could get more answers by resurrecting it.
I guess you can start by mentioning where you are located. Lots of shops around the bay area specifically: The Racers Line, Elite performance, Speed Element, Motorsport Techniques, Auto RnD, just to name a few. If you are somewhere else, maybe asking around the local threads would be more beneficial. |

Ah. I'm in San Jose but I'm willing to travel upwards of 30 minutes for a good installation. Any price quotes that I should have as an estimate?

I think speed element is in San jose. Personally I've never been there but few of my friends go there to buy parts and get it installed.

It's actually not that hard to do the spring install. Takes about +- 2 hours if you have the tools. Saves you about 200$ that you can use towards alignment.

Alternatively, you can rent out a spring compressor from O'Reilly's and do it with a couple of friends. |

you dont need a spring conpressor to do it for this car. OP should check out the 2 DIY threads to see. All you need is pass through sockets

^this. All you need to do is remove the top nuts on the suspension, then jack up the car. Unbolt the end links in the front and you can maneuver the coil towards you to swap out the spring. Unbolt the hub and the endlinks (and maybe sway bar) and you can get the rear spring out easily.
